Today we are going to discuss on the topic of “Too Much Knowledge is Dangerous.” We should gain knowledge for our benefit but we should not run after too much knowledge. When we give our entire efforts to gain too much knowledge, we get confused and lose the path to salvation.
The things that we learn from this world is called knowledge and the things that we learn from the Lord is wisdom. So we need knowledge but wisdom is most important for our salvation. Gaining too much knowledge can lead us away from the Lord.
So we will try to get the knowledge that is enough to survive on this earth. Instead, we should seek more wisdom from the Lord that will help us to know the things that are important for our souls.
In the Bible, if we look at Solomon we can know that he got wisdom from the Lord and he was known as the wisest man on the earth. With his wisdom, he ruled God’s people wisely but later he became proud of his wisdom. He began to depend on his own knowledge instead of God’s guidance. This led him to make wrong decisions for his nation.
We should always remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. If we don’t fear God then all our knowledge and wisdom will go in vain. We can’t achieve anything if we do not place God in first position in our lives.
