The Bible teaches us a lot about how we should take care of our family. When God gives us a family, we must take good care of our loved ones. By taking care of our family, we are following God’s commandments.
The Bible says that if we are believers and do not take care of our family, we are worse than unbelievers. In the Bible, we see many incidents from which we can learn how we should take care of our family. From the life of Joseph, we see that his brothers sold him, but later he saved his family from famine.
He loved his family, so he never hurt them but kept them alive by providing them with food. We can learn that even if our loved ones hurt us, we should still love them and be merciful to them.
If we fail to take care of our family, we will understand that we do not believe in God and are disobedient to Him. Jesus taught us how we need to take care of our family even in the most difficult times of life. Even as He was suffering the agony of death on the cross, He asked His beloved disciple to take care of His mother. This incident teaches us that we should never neglect our loved ones.
Taking care of our family members does not only mean providing them with food and clothing. It also means nurturing them spiritually and mentally. We need to take care of our family members so that they grow spiritually, so that they are enriched with divine knowledge.
Let us look at the following Bible verses that first mention taking care of your family.
