It is very important to set a good example in our daily lives. As believers, we should do more than talk. We testify to those around us with our lives. It is human nature to learn more from works than from words. Let us set a good example every day by living a life of kindness and love.
We can learn a lot about this by looking at the life of Jesus. Jesus showed us how to live a life that pleases God. In all his works we see the touch of love and compassion. As he taught about the kingdom of heaven and he healed the sick and comforted the poor. Jesus left us an example through every work of his life that we can follow so that we too can become like him.
In Paul’s teachings we see that he commanded us to imitate Jesus. He had many hardships in his life, but he remained steadfast in his faith and he conveyed the words of Jesus to everyone. In his letters, we see how a believer should live.
If we are careful about our actions and words, we too can set a good example in our lives. Our conduct should be in harmony with God’s Word. When we love others and forgive those who sin against us we are setting a good example. By living this way we honor God and follow his path.
Let’s look at the following Bible verses that talk about setting a good example.
