Today we will discuss God’s words on the subject of ‘Mistreating Your Wife’. Marriage is a sacred bond blessed and ordained by God. There should be love, respect, and mutual understanding in this relationship. The Bible teaches us to stay away from wife abuse as it destroys the relationship between husband and wife.
The Holy Bible compares the relationship between husband and wife to the relationship between Christ and the church. Just as Christ loves the church unconditionally, husbands should love their wives. This love should be patient, kind, and loving.
The story of Abraham and Sarah teaches us how husbands should treat their wives. Despite the many challenges they faced in their lives, Abraham always respected and loved Sarah. He respected her opinions and listened to her. Even when Sarah was unable to bear children at first, he never disrespected her. From the story of Abraham and Sarah, we can learn how husbands should treat their wives.
From the story of Boaz and Ruth, we can also learn how husbands should treat their wives. Boaz treated Ruth with great kindness and respect. She was a foreigner and a widow, but despite her works, Boaz valued her not only as a woman but as a person. From this story, we can learn that it is important to give our dignity and respect to the wives.
If we treat our wives badly, we sin against God. We must remember that wives are our gift from God. Therefore, if we illtreat them, we dishonor God and destroy His plan.
Let us meditate on God’s Word and submit ourselves to God in prayer so that we may honor our wives and obey God’s commandments.
