Today we will discuss the important issues of gossip and slander. These damage our relationships and create distance between us.
God’s Word warns us about the dangers of gossip and slander and teaches us how to avoid these things. When someone slanders us, many times they tell lies against us that deeply hurt our hearts.
We Christians should always be aware of this because we should never slander and gossip against others. God’s Word says that we will be judged by the words of our mouths. Because the words of our mouths are very powerful. It can build people up and destroy people. If someone is destroyed by the words of our mouths, God will turn against us.
On the other hand, when someone gossips and slanders us, we will pray to God for them to change their minds. In this regard, we will never be hostile to anyone but love those who gossip and slander us.
We will try to keep ourselves away from gossip and slander and teach others how to keep themselves away from them and live righteously.
