The importance of family worship is immense. When all the members of a family sit together and worship God with one heart, God’s presence strengthens that family and fills it with blessings. God wants us to worship and praise Him with one heart as a family.
In the Bible, we see various incidents where family members worshiped God together. Joshua said that he and his family would serve the Lord. By this, he meant that even if another family did not dedicate themselves to God, he and his family would never abandon God. When a family worships God together, the next generation of that family also receives God’s blessings.
Through this, each member of the family grows spiritually and develops love and affection for each other. In addition, all the family members can get to know God better and gain knowledge of His Word. Therefore, the elders in the family should teach the younger ones the Word of God and teach them the importance of prayer and the blessings that will come from fearing God.
The early Christians worshipped together as a family. They regularly sang and read the scriptures, and prayed to praise God. Through this, not only their own families but also each other’s families were enriched with Christian knowledge and doctrine.
Now, let us look at the following Bible verses where families are told to worship together.
