Today we are going to discuss about the harmful sides of making fun of others. Our human nature always does what the Lord has asked us not to do. Making fun of others or mocking others breaks the teachings of Jesus Christ.
In the Bible we find that we are asked to respect others and we should love them too. But when we make fun of others it makes us sinner. In doing so we are violating God’s law. The story of Elisha and the youths who mocked him is recorded in the Bible. As Elisha was walking, a group of youths came out and started making fun of him, calling him names. The youths experienced severe consequences due to their disrespectful behavior. This story teaches us that mocking others is not taken lightly in the eyes of God.
The Bible teaches us to build each other not to make fun of others. Words have power, and we should use them wisely. We need to encourage others and give them the right direction so that we can walk with God. Dear friends, now let’s see the Bible scriptures below that talk about making fun of others.
