By serving the church, we express our love for God and His children. When we serve, we reflect the love of Jesus. Jesus did not come to earth to be served but to serve, so let us not expect to be served but have a service mindset.
God has given us various talents to use for His glory. When we give of our time to serve the church, we build up the body of Christ. When we teach God’s Word to others, sing songs, or help with church maintenance, we do it all for the glory of God.
In the Bible, we find many people who dedicated themselves to serving God’s people. When the early church began, believers sold their possessions and gave money to the church so that God could do His work.
Although serving the church is not easy, it requires time and effort. It requires getting out of our comfort zone and dedicating ourselves to the growth of God’s kingdom.
When we come forward to this work, let us do it with joy. God will see all our service and He will bless us.
