62 Bible Verses About Jesus As King

Dear friends, today we are going to talk about Jesus as King. It shows us who Jesus is and the role He plays in our lives. As Christians, understanding Jesus as King helps us to honor Him and follow His ways.

From the moment of His birth, Jesus was recognized as a king. The wise men from the East came looking for the “King of the Jews.” They brought Him gifts fit for a king: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. This early recognition sets the stage for His kingly role throughout His life and ministry.

Jesus spoke often of the Kingdom of God, teaching us what it means to live under His reign. His miracles and teachings were signs of His authority and power. He healed the sick, raised the dead, and even calmed the storm, showing that He had control over all creation. These acts demonstrated that He was not just any king but the King of kings.

One of the most significant moments in the Bible is when Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey. The people welcomed Him with palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna,” acknowledging Him as their King. This event, known as the Triumphal Entry, fulfills the prophecy that the King would come humble and ride on a donkey.

In the book of Revelation, we see a vision of Jesus as the reigning King. He is described as wearing many crowns and having a name written that no one knows but Himself. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, who will reign forever. This gives us hope and assurance that no matter what happens in this world, Jesus is and always will be our King.
