The truth that God has set before us gives us true life. The importance of this truth is immense, and denying it would put us in danger. We face many situations in our daily lives where we are tempted to hide God’s truth. God’s Word teaches us the value of being on the path of truth and the tragic consequences of denying it.
Peter was one of Jesus’ closest disciples but he also denied Jesus. The fear of life and the pressures of man denied the truth within. From this story, we understand that even though we are strong people, we are discouraged when we are afraid to admit the truth. After denying Jesus three times, Peter asked Jesus for forgiveness. So if we ever fail to stay on the path of truth So we must ask God for forgiveness.
Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. That is, we embrace the truth by accepting Jesus. God wants us to stay on the path of truth until we die, so He will crown us with eternal life. Although we have to suffer a little while to be on this path, we must remember that God will comfort us and be with us at every moment.
Nowadays, most people are living on the lie by abandoning the truth. They are sacrificing the truth to satisfy their flesh, and they are happy about it. But God has revealed all things to us that if we hold on to the truth, He will also bring us into His kingdom on the day of judgment. We will try to remain faithful to Jesus until death.
