When we think about death, we feel sad. If we understand God’s Word correctly, we will never fear or grieve over death. On the other hand, when our loved ones in the family die, we seek peace and comfort. God’s Word comforts us and gives us hope that death is the way to eternal peace.
The Lord Jesus told us about a peace that we cannot easily understand. He said that whoever believes in him will find rest and peace even after death. From the word of God, we know that death is a way for us to eternal life. This promise fills our hearts with joy, and we know that our loved ones who die on this earth live happily in a place of eternal peace.
When Stephen was stoned, he looked up to heaven and saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God. At that time, he saw the glory of God and felt a deep sense of peace. This incident reminds us that even if we face death, we will find eternal peace through faith in Jesus.
Paul wrote in his letter about the assurance that he would be with Christ after death. He said that as long as we are in this body, we are away from the Lord. He said that it is better to be with the Lord than to be in this body. This means that when we leave this earthly life, we enter into the presence of God. That is why the promise of living with Jesus gives us hope and peace.
Jesus told us that He has prepared a place for us and He will take us there. This helps us to understand that God has a special place for each of us where we will live in peace and joy forever.
