Living together before marriage is an important issue that we should discuss in the light of God’s Word. From God’s Word we learn that God is holy and that He wants His children to live in holiness. Marriage is of great importance in God’s eyes and God has given us ample instruction on this matter.
Marriage is a covenant where a man and a woman are united until death. Therefore, only after marriage can a man and a woman live together. They can never live together before marriage because God hates it.
If we look at an incident from the Bible, the story of Isaac and Rebekah teaches us the right thing. They respected the sanctity of marriage and did not live together before marriage. From this story we can learn that living together and intimacy should wait until marriage.
